This spring semester, the Iota Colony at Purdue University teamed up with Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority Inc., to host a benefit dinner to aid the fight against cancer. In the end, the night was a tremendous success in raising awareness and funds to fight leukemia. These two organizations look forward to working again in the future. On June 21, 2008 Kappa Colony held its annual Brothers Dinner. Those in attendance included Actives and Alumni as well as Eastern Regional Director, Mr. Rahul Kapoor. The event had special significance as it marked not only the completion of yet another year for Kappa Colony but also the 3 year anniversary of its establishment. The Eta Chapter at The University of Texas at Austin held their Annual Founder’s Weekend during the weekend of April 4th, 2008. A great lunch was hosted at the house followed by a brief presentation of Eta Chapter history by the Lambda line. This event allows undergraduates to meet and interact with their Chapter Founders. |

Midwest Leadership Conference

The Second Annual Midwest Regional Leadership Conference was held at Iota Colony on April 5th 2008 in West Lafayette, Indiana. There were over 50 brothers in attendance ranging from Florida, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Texas. There were also three regional directors present; East, Midwest, and South.
The conference was an invaluable insight into what is going on at other chapters and colonies as well as pertinent new knowledge and strategies gained from the various workshops.

National Convention VI - Nashville, TN

The Brothers of Beta Chi Theta will gather during Labor Day Weekend for the 6th Annual National Convention which will be held in Nashville, Tennessee by the Theta Colony at Vanderbilt University.
Undergraduates and alumni from across the nation will meet to discuss issues affecting Beta Chi Theta and to rekindle old friendships. National Convention VI promises to be the largest NC to date. Stay tuned for more details. |

2008 NIC Congressional Visits

On April 23rd, 2006, Beta Chi Theta became the first and only nationally recognized South Asian Fraternity through its acceptance of membership into the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Additionally, at seven years of age, it is also the youngest fraternity ever to become a member of the NIC.
Once again, this year's Congressional Visits proved to be a huge success for Beta Chi Theta. Through constant networking and effective lobbying, Beta Chi Theta spread its name and influence amongst NIC Fraternity Leaders.
